Little Rascals offers a unique and exciting approach to Preschool Education that recognizes the need of today's parents to provide their children with a valuable head start on tomorrow's challenges. With the 21st century upon us, the importance of providing today's children with the advantage of a diverse education backed up by strong learning and social skills cannot be over emphasized. With this in mind, Little Rascals offers a program that incorporates the best in traditional early education approaches with a modern blend of academic enrichment, life skills and exposure to computers.
A DIVERSE and BALANCED APPROACH
At Little Rascals Preschool we strive to bring a balanced and diverse approach to preschool learning that is always fresh and fun. We do this by associating all aspects of the daily curriculum with play and fun while endeavouring to provide a broad range of subject matter and new experiences for children to enjoy. In the classroom, our teachers create a supportive and comfortable environment in which each child can excel socially, develop cognitively and grow as a unique individual. Within this ideal learning environment our teachers approach the task of teaching and learning from 3 distinct and complementing angles geared to appeal to the distinct individual learning styles of each child. Throughout the day, each child will be involved in directed group activities, undirected independent activities and directed one-on-one individualized activities. In directed group situations, children develop confidence while learning to participate and cooperate together with classmates during circle time, table activities and in groups at learning stations. During independent activities children, in very small groups or on their own, freely engage, with minimum direction from teachers, in various activities such as art, books, puzzles, dramatic play, design, free play, etc. In these unstructured situations children are free to explore their own creativity and imagination, discover their own learning styles, and strengthen critical thinking skills. And, during directed one-on-one individualized activities, each child will benefit by receiving the undivided attention of a teacher. One-on-one situations provide the perfect opportunity for a teacher and a child to develop a strong bond. Teachers familiarize themselves with and focus in on each child's unique natural learning style which presents the ideal opportunity for each child to excel academically.
The positive feedback of our parents and the popularity of our program continue to strengthen our belief that today's parents are more concerned than ever about their children's future and want to offer them a diverse early educational foundation with a modern theme. At Little Rascals we feel that we can help provide your child with an educational & social head start and help foster the learning and motivational skills required not only for a comfortable and successful entry into Elementary School but for future success in the evolving, technological world today's children will grow up in.
